Weekly Internship for Summer Workshops
Each week would consist of Monday thru Friday 9-noon workshop or 1-4pm –July 19-August 20 Job Description: Workshop assistant with some teaching involved Coordinate and organize supplies for workshops a week in advance
Day of workshop
• Set up supplies
• Greet students
• Assist in class
• Teach certain projects coordinated with teacher
• Clean up Prepare for next day workshop – make sure all needed supplies are ready
Intern may take time off to attend workshops offered. Any time off must coordinate with director as soon as possible.
Mission
The mission of the Red Brick Council for the Arts is to manage and develop the Red Brick Arts and Recreation Center as a community resource and to promote the arts.
WE PROVIDE
- A unique and historic facility (a former school) housing ten artist studios and ten non-profit arts and human service organizations
- Support for local artists through the Red Brick Artist Residency Program providing low-cost studio space and by curating monthly Red Brick Gallery exhibitions featuring regional artists
- Administration of arts programming for the benefit of the entire community including art education classes, arts workshops, presentations and demonstrations and various special events
- An affordable rehearsal and practice space for the performing arts including dance, theater, music, yoga, exercise, karate and more
